I was refered to this site by a class I'm taking at a community college in Spokane Wa.  Prior to this assignment I had no knowledge of freenets, and was wondering what if any federal funding was going towards providing freenet access in low income areas, such as rural and inner city youth, and what if anything I can do to help.  For example, volunteering time and services, and pressuring my representives to address this issue.  I am currently applying with tincan to volunteer, but thought you may be able to give me further advice.  Thanks for your time and the service you provide.   Jeffrey A. Evanson
