Great Bridge Intermediate houses approximately 1100 students in grades 3,4 and 5. Subjects taught are Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Chorus, Strings, Physical Education, & Computers. Our theme for 95-96 is The World Comes to Us with an Internation Day Celebration on May 10, where students will demonstrate many cultural activities they have been studing throughout the year. We will also have representatives from countries all over the world sharing with song, dance and information booths as well as representatives from NATO countries. We will also participate in a Torch Run Run approximately 3 1//2 miles starting at City Hall with students, city officials and other adults passing the torch every block ending at our school.

Great Bridge is located in southern part of Chesapeake, about 30minutes from Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Population is approximately 180,000. Chesapeake hosts the annual Jubilee every spring.
