A description of your school:
Parkside Mansard Square Family Resource Center is the name
of an afterschool program which serves the children living in a public
housing apartment complex on the north side of the city of Champaign
Illinois. The goal of the Resource Center is to provide academic,
social and recreational support to these children and their families.
Children aged 6 - 14 attend the Resource Center on a daily basis.
The Recreation Center does not have a large enough facility to practice any sporting events, so the children will use a blacktop court and grassy field at a park near the complex for the events.
A description of your community:
The city of Champaign is located in east central Illinois.
It is located right next to the city of Urbana. Champaign and Urbana
have a combined population of about 100,000 people. The most important
thing to know about Champaign and Urban a is that the University of
Illinois is here and it is very big.
The kids from the Resrouce Center attend school in Champaign. They go to several different elementary schools and two middle schools.
A description of the sports done at your school.
