Description of your school:
The Huckleberry Hill School is a public school for students in grades K-4. There are two elementary schools in our town in addition to one catholic school. Our day runs from 9am-3pm each day for approximately 450 students. We are taking our grade three students by bus to our middle school where they will compete in the Teleolympics on the track. This takes half of our day. Then students return to Huckleberry for a pizza lunch followed by a slide show comparing the ancient and modern day olympics. Students at Huckleberry have math, language arts, science, social studies, physical education, art, music and library/media skills.
Description of your community:
Community Description: Huckleberry is located in the town of Lynnfield located about 20 miles north of Boston. It is predominantly a suburban, residential community that is home to several professional athletes and their families because it is within easy commuting distance to Boston.
Description of sports done in your school:
Sports in School: In our physcial education program studetns experince orinteering, running, snowshoeing, pilo polo, floor hockey, basketball, and rope jumping. We have an after school sprts program that allows students to spend more time on these activities.
